Trans woman Jennifer Laude was killed by US serviceman Joseph Scott Pemberton in a motel in Olongapo, sparking outrage among the LGBTQ community and putting the spotlight back on the Visiting Forces Agreement which previously became controversial in the 2005 Subic rape case.
